Side valley easy to reach from the ENGADIN

THe side valley of the ENGADIN guides you to the direction of Italy and to the boarder of Italy. It`s a step to another culture and it will get much warmer. The vamous valley are Münstertal, Bergell and Puschlav.

Visti the National Park and the Museum

National Park
There is a National Park in the Underengadin, beginning at S-chanf (app.12 km from St. Moritz) with the gamerich Val Trupchun. There you can watch ibex, chamois, deer, eagles and marmot. In Zernez is the national park museum. Starting at the Ofenpass there are well marked hiking trails to the game observation points and the meadows of Edelweiss national park.

ENGLISCH Das ENGADIN entdeckt die Biker

Das ENGADIN soll eine Mountainbike Destination werden. Man ist entschlossen das bisherige Wegenetz auszubauen und zu verbinden. Der Masterplan sieht vor, dass Corviglia zum Mountainbike Berg ausgebaut wird. Es werde drei Zonen entstehen.
Zone 1 soll Tourenfahrer ansprechen und umfasst alle Wege und Touren von Zernez bis Maloja sowie die Verbindungen zu den Seitentälern.
Zone 2 ist den Liebhabern von Trails gewidmet und umfasst das Gebiet um Corviglia.
Die Biker dürfen die Bergbahnen Marguns, Chantarella-Corviglia und Signal benutzen.

ENGLISCH Das Bergell besitzt preisgekrönte Gärten

Bereits vor 200 jahren haben sich die Herscherfamilien vom ENGADIN Palazzi mit reizvollen Gärten im Bergell angelegt.
Die Gärten der Familie Salis in Soglio und Bondo bekamen den "Schulthess Gartenpreis 2009" überreicht. Ein Positives Signal und ein gutes Ergebnis für die sorgfältige Pflege in den letzten Jahren.
Eine kleine Broschüre ist erhältlich die neben den zwei preisgekrönten Gärten auch alle anderen auflistet.

Observe Game by your holiday

Observe Game
Ibex, chamois, deer, eagles and marmot.
In May/June you can watch the game in the valleys or at sunny hillsides. Very often you can observe the deer at a very close distance.
Beginning of June the fawns are born.
In July/August till the middle of September you will find the game in higher altitudes, after that period of time they move back down to the valleys.
In October there is rufting season. In this time you can observe them at the Val Trupschun and in the Val Bever.

Train
You like to ride the train? Connect the nostalgic with the environmental thought.
Enjoy the landscape during a travel with the Bernina express past glaciers and summits over abyss-deep ravines with bridges and tower-high viaducts to the Italian town of Tirano (passport neccessary).
In the winter enjoy the snow-covered winter landscape.

-the hike can be expanded up to an Italian mountain hut, where brunch is served daily.
